For all devotees who have been taunted by Beat Radio's turbulent history of micro-broadcasting and legal suits, here's your chance to get your fix: Beat Radio and First Avenue present "Beatification." It'll be all the dance music your FM-weary heart craves, with eight DJ's (including Dean Vaccaro, Drone, PD Spinlove, E-Tones, Monte Hilleman, Alex Jarvis, Greg Comstock, and Karl Who?) on two levels playing six hours of beats. What's more, this one's for all beat lovers 18+. Meanwhile, Beat Radio, the "Station on Vacation", while embracing the cozy static of AM radio and bucking corporate, mainstream formats ("The Point," eh-hem), has met with every imaginable resistance. Their court case with the FCC is still active, and so are they, even if you can't find them on your radio dial.
