MN Minneapolis "Beat Radio" 97.7 with urban music from a 10-watt transmitter from an apartment in a high rise near 14th and Hennepin. "Very clear and solid downtown." Only announcing initially was a computer-generated "97.7". Its location was pinpointed by KNXR 97.5 Rochester MN, which rented special direction-finding equipment. The FCC sent a letter to the white person who enjoys urban music. Lacking a local presence in the area, it is unclear whether or not the "microbroadcaster" can be taken off. KNXR is "madder than..." Earlier, it had succeeded in ousting a WNCB 89.3 Duluth translator from 97.7 in downtown Minneapolis.
